Lindsey Lee's First Haircut!!!

I never thought I would be cutting a seven month old baby's hair! It was starting to look like a mullet so I trimmed it. I was afraid I might ruin it but I've learned from experience cutting Gracie's hair that I'm fine just trimming the ends but I better never try to do layers again. Poor Gracie - last time I cut her hair it didn't look so good but it's starting to grow. Thankfully I didn't ruin Lindsey's hair. She was so good while I cut it! I had Gracie help keep her looking forward. She loves watching Gracie!

I asked Gracie to smile for the camera and this is what I got . . .

Sundays

Every Sunday the girls look so adorable in their dresses and with their hair all done up. I always want to take pictures but it just adds stress to the morning so hopefully I can restrain myself from pulling out the camera every single Sunday. They are just too cute! I can't resist!

Cutie Bugs!!!

Gracie likes to have me put Mrs. Potato Head's earrings on her. She is such a girly girl and I am not so she'll have to look to her aunts when she wants to get all dolled up! She looks so old with them on.

I put this hat on Lindsey and she grinned so big! It's a BYU hat with a cougar going through it. Elizabeth got it for Gracie when she was a baby. Gracie wanted to try it on too but she wouldn't smile for me or look at the camera so there aren't any pictures of her with it on. Little stinker!

Notice the drool on Lindsey's shirt? I don't know what day it was when I took this picture but Lindsey has her first tooth now - her bottom front left. I spotted it just cutting through the gum on Valentine's Day.

This was another hat on a different day and she did look at me and smile then. Today when I was working on potty training I asked Gracie if she needed to go potty and she said, "Nope! Can't!" I guess she will just do it when she is ready. I've been teaching her to pull her pants up and down because she can't do that by herself yet so she probably isn't quite ready to potty train but two is the age I have always had in my mind for potty training. As long as it happens before she turns three I guess we'll be alright.

Beautiful Gracie Jo!

My baby girl is all grown up. Heidi took these pictures when Gracie spent the night on her birthday. Thanks for all the wonderful pictures Heidi! Most of the adorable pictures I have of the girls were taken by her. Thank goodness because I am terrible at photography.

I am amazed at the new things Gracie does each day! She called Lindsey "sweetheart" a couple days ago. So precious! She always says "sorry mommy" and she keeps surprising me with the songs that she knows. She counts things really well other than forgetting to always start with one and when we ask her how old she is sometimes she'll say "two" and other times she'll continue counting from there "three, four, five!" We've been sitting with the same family at church and they have a little boy just a couple months younger than Gracie and last Sunday she kept holding his hand and giving him hugs. I'm not sure when potty training will happen. She always hides by or under a table when she has to go but when I ask her if she needs to go potty she says "No No!" I bought some pull-ups so one of these days when Tim is home I'll have to really focus on potty training. When I'm taking care of Lindsey too it just seems easier to just let her use her diaper but I need to stop making excuses. We'll see how it goes.

Lindsey had a doctor's appointment yesterday and she weighs 19 lbs 15 oz and is 27 1/2 inches! She is also getting her first tooth on her bottom left. Today is her 6 month birthday!

I love my girls!!!

Gracie's Birthday!!

Happy Birthday My Love!!! I can't believe how fast two years has gone. What a sweet girl who is so loved by so many and brings joy to all. I am so glad that she is part of our family! I thank Heavenly Father for her every night. We love her sassy spirit! She is so smart too! I love watching her interact with Lindsey and can tell she will be a good big sister. Every day she does something to make me smile and I especially love hearing her say "Love You!" I'm sorry that I am not always as patient with her as I should be and that I already expect so much out of her. I hope she knows how much I love her and forgives me for my shortcomings as a mom. We love you cutie!

For Gracie's birthday we had a party at Grandma and Grandpa's house! Everything turned out well and everyone spoiled her rotten! Thanks everyone for the gifts and the love you have always shown Gracie! Thanks for all the times you have been there for her. Someone is always there to "come" when she grabs a hand to take her somewhere. Thanks for letting her spend the night Aunt Heidi! I know she loves being with you and she needed a break from her mean mom! Happy Birthday Gracie Jo!

Pigtails!!!

I can't believe my baby can wear pigtails!!! She's not even six months old yet! Gracie was so bald and Lindsey has so much hair! Gracie got some curl though and Lindsey didn't. Isn't she the cutest little thing you ever saw!?!

I love the bald spot don't you? It seems like all babies rub that same spot in the back. I had to laugh at it.

I finally took some pictures of the girls in the hats Aunt Elizabeth made them! They are so cute! She also made the adorable sweater in the bottom two of Lindsey in yellow! So Sweet!!!
