GRADUATION!!!

FINALLY!!! Tim's graduation was April 9th and 10th and we are so ready to move on to the next chapter of our lives! He has received employment as a logistics management intern for the Army. The internship lasts 18 months and will take place at Fort Lee, VA. We will probably be living in Richmond. If all goes according to plan, Tim will leave June 1st or 2nd to drive all of our stuff out and the girls and I will fly out on June 8th. Kirsten will be flying out with us which will be a big help to me. When he first got the job it seemed like forever away and now it is only a small month and a half. It will be hard to leave family, but it will be fun to experience new things!

EASTER

Lindsey's first Easter and Gracie's first time dying eggs! I learned really quick that two year olds aren't quite ready for dying eggs. She kept wanting to drink the colored water and she wasn't patient enough to wait for the eggs to color. This resulted in me not being patient with her and it wasn't very fun. She did like them afterwards though and she even ate some of the egg. This was good since she usually spits eggs out whenever she tries them. She's even asked for the eggs since. I got them each a little doll and book for their baskets since Lindsey can't even have candy yet and they both loved them!

Sweet Babies!!!

She is so cute! I just want to squish her!

A very rare occasion . . . Gracie stopped taking naps about the time Lindsey was born but she's taken a couple naps in the past month. We don't know what to do when both girls are asleep. She is so beautiful!

Lately whenever I say, "My Gracie!" she runs from me to Tim and says, "No! My Daddy!" Makes Tim pretty happy but it breaks my heart. At least she has gone through some mommy's girl phases too.

Lindsey Lee's First Haircut!!!

I never thought I would be cutting a seven month old baby's hair! It was starting to look like a mullet so I trimmed it. I was afraid I might ruin it but I've learned from experience cutting Gracie's hair that I'm fine just trimming the ends but I better never try to do layers again. Poor Gracie - last time I cut her hair it didn't look so good but it's starting to grow. Thankfully I didn't ruin Lindsey's hair. She was so good while I cut it! I had Gracie help keep her looking forward. She loves watching Gracie!

I asked Gracie to smile for the camera and this is what I got . . .

Sundays

Every Sunday the girls look so adorable in their dresses and with their hair all done up. I always want to take pictures but it just adds stress to the morning so hopefully I can restrain myself from pulling out the camera every single Sunday. They are just too cute! I can't resist!

Cutie Bugs!!!

Gracie likes to have me put Mrs. Potato Head's earrings on her. She is such a girly girl and I am not so she'll have to look to her aunts when she wants to get all dolled up! She looks so old with them on.

I put this hat on Lindsey and she grinned so big! It's a BYU hat with a cougar going through it. Elizabeth got it for Gracie when she was a baby. Gracie wanted to try it on too but she wouldn't smile for me or look at the camera so there aren't any pictures of her with it on. Little stinker!

Notice the drool on Lindsey's shirt? I don't know what day it was when I took this picture but Lindsey has her first tooth now - her bottom front left. I spotted it just cutting through the gum on Valentine's Day.

This was another hat on a different day and she did look at me and smile then. Today when I was working on potty training I asked Gracie if she needed to go potty and she said, "Nope! Can't!" I guess she will just do it when she is ready. I've been teaching her to pull her pants up and down because she can't do that by herself yet so she probably isn't quite ready to potty train but two is the age I have always had in my mind for potty training. As long as it happens before she turns three I guess we'll be alright.
