Virginia Return

Once again we were blessed in our travels. Thanks to everyone who was praying for our safety! The girls did wonderful on the flights! Lindsey was a bit fussy on the stretch from Salt Lake to Denver and she kept squishing my very pregnant belly but I was able to handle it because I knew we'd be meeting up with Tim in Denver. The girls were so excited to see their Daddy! We tried to get Tim on our same flight but they wanted to charge too much so we just went on separate flights. Tim took Lindsey and I took Gracie. Gracie clung to his leg when it was time for her and I to board. She did not want to leave her Daddy and she probably didn't understand why Lindsey got to stay with him, but she was still good for me the rest of the trip.

It was frustrating that we flew through the same airline and they wouldn't work with us because there were empty seats on each of my flights. Because we had to get separate flights, Gracie and I arrived in Richmond around 8:10 p.m. and had to wait for Tim and Lindsey to get there at 11:00 p.m.

While we were waiting in Richmond, Gracie got the saddest look on her face. When I asked what was wrong she said, "I miss everybody." It was so sad! We do miss everyone so much and saying goodbye was so hard, especially since we don't know where we'll end up after Tim's internship and we might always be this far away from family. It is good to have our little family together again and have our own place. The girls were thrilled with all their old toys so hopefully between that and Christmas they'll be well entertained for awhile!

Thanks to our families for all their help while we were in Idaho! We love and miss you all!

Uncle Daniel!

My brother returned from the California, Ventura mission on December 15th!!! It was so good to see him! The girls were so cute with him! He either grew or I just forgot how tall he was because I felt like I needed to stand on my tiptoes to give him a hug. We are so glad that he is back with us! He'll head off to BYUI in January! We wish him the best of luck!

A Visit With Santa!

Aunt Heidi and Uncle Brandon offered to take the girls to the mall to see Santa. Heidi surprised us and bought the girls matching dresses and headbands for the occasion. She did their hair so cute for them and Lindsey's hair was curled for the first time! They look so beautiful!

Gracie did great with Santa but Lindsey cried and cried! She looks so sad in the photos the mall worker took. Heidi took this one with her camera and I am only in the picture to keep Lindsey calm. At least she's not crying in this one. Little Stinker!!!

Happy Holidays!

Just some cute pictures of the girls in matching dresses. I already have their dresses picked out for next Sunday too and I'll probably post some pictures of those also - especially since I'll probably take their picture with their Uncle Dan who gets home from his mission on Wednesday!!! :)

I just think they are too cute when they're all dolled up for church! Now I just need to learn how to do Gracie's hair. It looks cute right after I do it and then I don't know what happens to it. On a typical day she looks like she just hopped out of bed and I didn't even comb it but I promise I do every day! I've just never been a hair person.

Gracie's leg looks funny in the picture below, but it is just the way she's standing.

Great Grandma Christensen

This past Saturday the girls and I went down to Brigham City with Grandma to see Great Grandma Christensen before we head back to Virginia on Monday. We were blessed with clear roads and good weather and the girls were so good! Lindsey was so cute when we first got there. I asked her to give Great Grandma loves and she went right up to her and snuggled in. Gracie was so cute too saying, "Great Grandma!"

I was disappointed because when I went to use my video camera it wouldn't turn on so I couldn't capture those moments on video. I was able to get some pictures though. That was frustrating too because our camera turns off quite often just when you are about to take a picture, even with new batteries. The ones I got are cute though and the last one is of Lindsey and Great Grandma "beaping" each other's noses.

I didn't notice until I posted this picture that Gracie is grinning in the background. Too cute!

Oakley Paige

Isn't she beautiful!?! Heidi and Brandon are such proud parents! What a cute little bundle of joy!

I love the picture below because it looks like she's smiling!

A Cousin!!!

The girls' first cousin!!! And now I am an Aunt for the first time! Little Oakley Paige was born on November 11th! She came three weeks early and weighed 7 lbs 9 oz, 21 inches long. She is so cute and the girls just love her to pieces! It's been so sad though because we've all had nasty colds so every time the girls or I hold her I just worry that she's going to get sick. Poor Gracie doesn't understand when we tell her not to touch her or get her face too close.

When Gracie first met her at the hospital she said, "Oakley come out of your belly Heidi," and "Cooper come out now." It was so cute! She kept talking about Oakley coming to play with her toys too. Every time Lindsey sees her she says, "OoooHhhhh" as if to say "what a sweet little baby", and she pats Oakley's head or leans her own head into her to cuddle with her. It is so precious! When we ask Gracie who Oakley is she says, "She's a cousin." It's so fun having another baby in the family!

Snow Fun!

We've had so much snow this year and Gracie has been begging to play outside in her new boots. We finally had a warm enough day and the girls loved the snow! It was good to get some fresh air too. The girls started squealing at each other and fighting over the snowman though because Lindsey kept trying to take his nose, eyes, and mouth off which made Gracie very distraught. Gracie let me know when it was time to go back inside and then she asked to watch "Mickey's Christmas". I love this time of year!

I asked the girls to give the snowman "loves". They are so sweet and adorable!
