Q&A Session

Cooper saw a pregnant lady in a magazine at the doctor office today, so that must have been what triggered the question he asked me later on at home: "How does a baby come out?" I didn't know how else to explain it so that it would make sense to a four year old, so I said, "You poop it out." Haha! He just grinned. Then smart little Lindsey thought about it for a second and asked, "Does it hurt?" Man these kids are sharp! I laughed a bit and said, "Yes, but they give you medicine that helps."

I love my kids!

sChOoL!

I can't believe how much they've grown each year!

2015

My girls were sooo excited and ready for school to start again! I'm so glad that they love school like I did. It makes it easier to send them off! The house has been so quiet today.

Second Grade

First Grade

Little Livi wants to be just like her big sisters! She ran and got her backpack on too, so I took her picture too!

They would have been fine riding the bus, but it's always fun to take them to school on the first day. Lindsey was the first one there in her class.

They both got beautiful priesthood blessings from their Daddy last night, and they are all ready for a new school year! Love you girls! We're so proud of you both!

Lucy Mae

The kids got two new baby cousins this month - Lucy Mae and Chase Maddox! We got to go to Atlanta to meet Lucy! She is soooo little, and her hair sometimes looks red. The kids loved her!

Grandma with all her grandbabies . . .

Cooper sat down by Kirsten and put his arm around her. There's a movie preview in theaters that talks about the "Movie Move" and shows all these guys putting their arm around their girl during the movies. After seeing this for the first time during a movie, Cooper put his arm around me, and it looks like he's going to keep using "the move" on all his girls. Little Casanova!

Gracie got to sleep at Kirsten's the first night while the rest of us stayed at a motel, and then Lindsey got to stay at Kirsten's the second night.

How many kids can you fit in one bed?

The kids really enjoyed swimming at Sam and Kirsten's apartment pool. Cooper was doing all kinds of flips off the side, and the girls have gotten a lot braver since having swimming lessons. Olivia kept scaring all of us by running toward the deep end, and trying to sneak down onto the next steps leading into the pool. She went under on the steps once and I had to reach in and pull her out. She was being a stubborn stinker not listening to us.

The girls got free Six Flags tickets through a reading program during school, so we took them one day while Grandma watched Cooper and Olivia for us. Thanks Grandma! It was really crowded, so we waited in long lines. In the first four hours there, we had only gotten to ride four rides. It was so hot and we were all sweaty, but at least most of the lines had shade.

We made the mistake of taking the girls on a big roller coaster right off. The poor girls faces were so pale and they were shaking and asked to go home afterwards. I felt so guilty! They met the height requirements though, and there were other kids in line their size. Now I know! After that we went on all the kid friendly rides, and they had a lot more fun and the lines weren't as long.

We were next in line to get on a water ride when they closed down all the rides in the park because a storm was coming in. We decided to head to Kirsten's at that point, and the rain poured on us as we made our way to the parking lot. All in all it was a fun experience though, and the girls both said they had fun and wanted to go again, so that was good.

Kiddie Carnival

We found out that every summer in Athens they have a Kiddie Carnival and the rides are all only 50 cents each! They are all geared toward small kids, so I'm glad we discovered it sooner rather than later because Gracie will probably be too big for the rides in a few years.

The kids had a blast! The only downside was that it got pretty crowded and we had to wait in line.

As you can see in the previous pictures, Olivia was fine and ready to ride, but right before it started, she started bawling, so she had to get off. It was past their bedtime and hot out, so I think she was just done with all of it at that point.

I love how Lindsey and Cooper put their hands up in the air for this one, even though it's kind of a creepy picture with the motion and red eyes.

We'll definitely go again next summer!
