Daddy's Hats and Fun at Home!

I have pictures of me as a kid in the exact same bent over pose. The girls were laughing like crazy when they did this! They also love wearing their Dad's hats - especially backwards so they can peek out the hole in the back.

Growing Up

Little Cooper ate cereal for the first time and rolled over! I can't believe how fast time is going. Everyone warns you that it does and they are so right.

Memorial Day and Cousins!

Tim's cousins that live out here had us over for a barbecue on Memorial Day. The food was so good and they have a pool that the kids had a blast in! Now Tim really wants to get one for us once we have a yard. Jenny and Mike have been so kind to us and the girls love playing with their boys, Michael and Joseph. We had such a good time!

The kids had so much fun that they wore themselves out! They all fell asleep on the way home.

Poor Cooper is in the sun! We bought those suction cup sun shades when Gracie was born and we've never figured out how to make them stay on the windows. They just fall down every time we put them up. We just bought some sun shades that are supposed to just cling to the window so hopefully they work.

SLEEP!!!

Of course, right after my post about Cooper not sleeping, he has a great night! He slept from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Hallelujah!!!

At least I hope it's a good thing. He's been fussy off and on today and his voice sounds really hoarse. He's on a prescription right now for an ear infection but it's day 7 of the 10 day treatment so he should be getting better by now. He still has a ton of drainage going on. Poor little thing! I hate it when your kids seem sick but you don't know if you need to take them back into the doctor again. Ugh! Anyway, I hope he didn't sleep all night because he's sick again. Poor sweet baby!

SWEET HOME ALABAMA :)

For those of you who don't already know, we are moving to Alabama at the end of October! I'm not excited for the heat and bugs (as I've heard) but I am so excited that we will finally be able to get a HOUSE and a YARD!!!! YIPPEE!!!

Tim will be working in Huntsville at Redstone Arsenal for AMCOM (Army Aviation and Missile Command). He starts November 7th.

Two Rare Occasions

Cooper sleeping and . . .

Me actually getting ready for the day!!!

I didn't want to be alone in the pictures, so I decided to bring in my beautiful girls!!! And yes, I cut Lindsey's bangs too short. It's not the first or last time that will happen :)

I didn't realize how spoiled I was with Gracie as a baby. All she did was sleep! Lindsey didn't sleep as much as a baby but she's an excellent napper now. Cooper is another story!!! He was sleeping through the night. Well, at least staying asleep from the time he fell asleep until about 5:00 a.m. but suddenly this past week he has been getting up consistantly at 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. and to make matters worse, he hasn't been napping long enough to get anything else done. Little Stinker! What a relief it was when I got out of the shower to find him asleep this morning! I just had to take a picture!!! Hopefully he gets over this really soon! I'm exhausted!

Aaaaawwwww!!!!

I was having a really hard time the other day feeling frustrated about how much work being a mom of 3 kids 3 and under is. I just feel like everything I try to do with them turns in to more work than fun and I can't even enjoy them. After sobbing to Tim about how unhappy I was and that I was missing out on the joy of having little ones, I went to check on the girls before going to bed and found them like this. . .

It melted my heart!!! Lindsey had apparantly gotten into bed with Gracie and they were both sound asleep. It was just what I needed to remind me that it is all worth it.

Park Fun!!!

We are going crazy being trapped in our apartment lately. It's become way too crowded for a family of five. It's also too much work to take the 3 kids anywhere by myself so it has been a great blessing that my friend, Kala, offered to go with us once a week to the park! It has been a lot of fun! We've tried out different ones, hoping to find one that has age-appropriate play sets and shade (which is desperately needed since we broke 100 degrees the other day!) The girls are wearing their jackets in these pictures though because on that day it was still a bit chilly. We need age-appropriate equipment because Lindsey is still too little to do things without an adult right there and because she is a daredevil!

This park has a cute little wooden train and the girls absolutely loved it! Gracie kept saying the words to a train song she learned in nursery when she was playing in it.

Lindsey found some kind of little nut/seed things shaped like balls and she would not let them go!

Lindsey still has one of those things in her hand in the picture below and she would not take her eyes off of it for the picture!

Thanks so much for getting us out of our apartment Kala!!!

Oreos and Pigtails

I still cannot do Gracie's hair very well because of all her cowlicks in the back and short bang-like pieces in the front that won't grow, but I found a new way to do it that I like. Instead of slicking her hair back to get pigtails I just pulled it up, scrunched. I think it's cute!

Lindsey was a little poser again! She wanted her picture taken too when I started taking Gracie's and she immediately started flipping around side to side, modeling! She even turned her back toward me for one picture and said, "Back!" So cute! She's got the routine down now.

If you look closely you can see Oreo in Gracie's teeth! Yummy!!! I've got both girls trained that you can't have Oreos without milk!
