Rollerskating!!!

The girls have been asking about skating a lot lately, so when Lindsey came home with a $12 coupon from school for rollerskating, we had to go!

They have these amazing pvc pipe trainers to help beginners out. You have to pay extra for them and all of them were taken when we first got there. I had a girl clinging to each arm when we first got there and I could tell it was going to be a lot of work, but luckily some people turned there's in and I snatched them up quick!

It was so nice because the girls just went around at their own pace with them and I got to skate by myself! I hadn't been since my junior year in High School, so about 13 years ago, but I still loved it just as much! It felt good to get out and do something different with the kids besides watching a movie (although I'll always love going to the movies!).

The girls kept asking how they could get better, and Gracie was upset that Lindsey and I were going faster than her, so I said we'd have to look into getting some skates for them to practice with at home. My sweet friend, Miranda Forbes, texted me a couple of days later without even knowing about the rollerskating, and asked if my girls would like her girls old skates. Perfect! It was so nice of her to think of us!

The only negative, but still funny, part of the experience was when Gracie had to go to the bathroom and ended up screaming from the stall because right as she started to pee, she went rolling off the toilet. There was a bar along the wall that I told her to hold onto, but apparently that wasn't enough support. It was frustrating because we all wanted to keep skating, but she got a little on her pants. Plus when I was helping her get back up off the floor, my phone fell out of my pocket and landed on the floor right by the toilet. Disgusting! Plus, there weren't any sinks in the bathroom. Thank goodness I always carry hand sanitizer!!! I learned my lesson and held onto Lindsey when she had to use the bathroom. Lindsey later told me that there was a sink outside the bathroom that she saw kids washing their hands in. I'll have to find it next time we go because it horrified me that a public bathroom had no way to wash your hands!!!

We had so much fun!!!

I'm playing catch-up with some photos I had on the laptop, so some of these are from awhile ago.

This first one is Cooper's chocolate milk uni-brow. Silly boy!

These are the girls when they first got their new haircuts back in August or September. I can't remember which.

Olivia's first time riding a carousel! She was all grins, but she had the death grip on Tim and would not let go for anything! Too cute!

I know I posted these on Facebook but I don't think I've put them on the blog yet. I was in the shower and when I turned the water off, I heard a door slam, so I knew something was up. I hurried and dressed and came out to see what was wrong and found THIS in the living room.

Since Cooper ran to his room and slammed the door when he knew I was done showering, I knew who the guilty party was. Although Livi probably helped. Luckily it was just bean bag styrofoam fill. I've seen terrible pictures where kids poured flour or something else all over and this was an easy clean up. They did stick to everything, so that was a bit of a pain. I should have just vacuumed it all up but I tried to save as much as possible to refill the bean bag. We've since thrown all those bean bags away because they are too flat anyway.

I think they had been trying to clean it up themselves with the little red bowl in the picture. It was one of those times when I wanted to laugh and scream at the same time. I guess I can't shower when the kids are awake.

I love it when all my babies are snuggled up together.

My little monkey, Gracie Jo, climbing the walls! She has really long legs like her Momma!

Cooper is obsessed with hair and he loves when we play around with his.

I looked over one night to see Cooper draped over Tim. He looked so comfortable up there and so cute!

The girls love playing "church" at home. They were sitting together so cute with the hymn book and children's songbook.

It's always a fight every night for who gets to sit in my lap during family prayer. This night they all four squeezed in there. My legs were aching from their weight because I was sitting Indian style. I love my kids so much though!

Livi watching the girls get on the bus in the morning . . .

This girl can pack the pizza away!!! She eats four slices in one sitting! I usually average two so it blew my mind when I saw her do this the first time. She doesn't eat the crust though, so I guess it's not quite as much as that. The other day when we had pizza, she even snuck her hand over to Lindsey's plate and snatched her slice too. If only they would all eat that good with other meals!

My Sunbeam!!!

Cooper is officially a Sunbeam in Primary now! He was such a giant in Nursery, so it is definitely time for him to be moving up! It's fun to be in Primary with three of my four kids now! It's cute to see how they act, and hear what they have to say. We brought the new Sunbeams in a couple times in December to help them adjust and one of those times, the chorister asked if any of the new Sunbeams were brave enough to help. Cooper threw both arms in the air and said loudly, "I'm brave enough!!!" This boy is definitely not shy! He's still got a ton of "girlfriends" at church and he always flirts with the cashiers, hostesses, etc. wherever we go. He's my little charmer!

I had to get some group shots of all my beautiful babies! I love them so much!

Christmas!

Tim made the kids some cute Santa waffles for a special treat!

The girls had a Whoville dress-up day at school! They were so adorable!!!

We had to make some cookies to leave out for Santa . . .

On Christmas Eve we got an early surprise! Santa brought us "Cole" for Christmas! We love him so much!

The kids all love to brush him!

Having fun with Aunt Kirsten . . .

These are my favorite pictures of Cooper with Cole! Thank you for catching this sweet moment Sam!

Good times with Uncle Sam . . .

We gave Cole our ham bone for his Christmas present.
