Halloween

The kids were so adorable in their Halloween costumes!!!  The girls were so good for me while I curled their hair and all three kids couldn't wait for their turn to get their picture taken.  Cooper surprised us all by saying, "Ha-ween! Ha-ween!" when we were taking the pictures.  Poor little guy had a major snotty nose all day and since then the girls have gotten it too.  Hopefully they're better soon!

My pretty little witch, Gracie Jo!!!  I asked her if she wanted a mole on her nose or chin and she chose her nose.  Then just for fun I put blush and lip gloss on her.  She hated the lip gloss though and asked for me to take it off right away.  Haha!

My cute little Minnie Mouse, Lindsey Lee!

My adorable little monkey, Cooper T!!!

The kids were laughing at Tim in this one!  He was helping me try to get them to all smile and look at the camera.

We had a lot of fun at our ward Chili cook-off/Trunk or Treat the Friday before Halloween!  A chili cook-off is the tradition down south before the Halloween festivities.

Lindsey asked Tim to be Mickey Mouse with her so I said I would be a black cat for Gracie.  When I was at the store buying costumes I found a cop one for Tim but I asked Lindsey if she wanted Daddy to be a cop or Mickey Mouse and she quickly reminded me, "He wants to be Mickey Mouse!"  So cute!

On Halloween Gracie spiked a fever so we asked her if she wanted to stay home and she said, "We'll just do a few houses."  She must have heard me and Tim saying that since she had a fever and Cooper and Lindsey had snotty noses.  I was so glad that I took pictures the night of the ward party so that I didn't have to worry about it on Halloween.  Even Tim commented about how we always seem to have at least one sick kid when fun things are happening.  I wish I knew why.  Do I not keep the house clean enough or what?  It's very frustrating. They were pretty healthy there for awhile I guess, this month has just been bad.

Last year practically every house on our subdivision had their lights on and we had so many trick-or-treaters that we ran out of candy.  This year, our new subdivision was pretty lifeless.  We walked clear around the circle and only got to trick or treat at about 5 or 6 houses.  A teenage boy even stopped us and asked if we lived here.  He said this place was dead and where he lived last year was a lot better.  I guess it was for the best though since the kids were all sick.

Tim carried Cooper and I made the girls hold my hands as we walked around.  Gracie was so sweet and made sure to grab my hand right away after she got candy and she always remembered to say thank you.  Lindsey is so independent and she cracked me up when she said, "Why do I always have to hold your hand?  When I grow up I'm NOT going to hold your hand."  It's so funny how different they are!  Even though the kids were sick we still had a fun Halloween together!
