Back to School

The kids were all so excited to go back to school! They start so early out here (August 3rd) but they get decent breaks throughout the year.

Gracie Jo is in 3rd Grade this year and we were just informed that she does qualify for the gifted program at school, so she is excited about that - especially since some of her best friends are also in the ACE (academic and creative excellence) class.

Lindsey Lee is in 2nd Grade this year! Can't believe it!

They are both so beautiful and smart!

Poor little Grace was so nervous because they hadn't hired a teacher for her class when school started so she had a sub the first week. Luckily, the sub is a good friend of ours and our ward Relief Society President, so that helped ease Gracie's nerves.

Both girls will have two teachers this year in a rotation schedule.

Cooper was so bummed that the girls got to start a day before him, but he was super excited when his turn finally came. They do phase-in days for the Kindergarten kids, so he only went on Thursday the first week.

I can't believe my handsome boy is in Kindergarten!!! He looks so cute with his backpack on and he is so smart and ready!

It's so peaceful and easy with just me and Olivia at home! No siblings to fight with! Ha! She was already bored with me the first day though and asking to play at a friend's house. Little cutie!

Cooper was ticked that first week again on Friday when he had to stay while the girls went AGAIN. Poor buddy was pouty all morning and wouldn't look at me for a picture. I'm glad he loves school!

My babies waiting for the bus . . .

We have the best bus driver ever! She sent me this picture of Cooper saying he was "A happy boy!"

Speaking of how we have the best bus driver, she also messaged me from the school that Cooper started crying when he got on the bus, saying he didn't feel well, and that she hoped the busses would head home quickly for him. Then when she got to our subdivision, she went straight to our house first for him, even though we're usually the third or fourth drop off. We love her!

Little Buddy was so sad to miss school.

There's a little girl named Cora in Cooper's primary class and he's said before that he's going to marry her. I thought that was so adorable because her name would be Cora Corless! Anyway, her mom told Cora that Cooper was sick, and she told her mom she wanted to bring him a get well card and treat. It was so sweet and adorable!!!
