Idaho!

What an emotional rollercoaster this summer was! It was filled with me interviewing for teaching positions, Tim interviewing for jobs in Idaho, and with that, trying to prep our house for the possibility of selling. We were sure Tim was going to get a job with Melaleuca, but it didn't pan out, and I didn't accept the ONE teaching position I was offered after a lot of thought and prayer. I just feel like we wasted the whole summer trying (stressing) for these other outcomes, and here we are, right back in the same position we were at the beginning of summer. Life can be frustrating.

I wish we hadn't even tried to make the changes because it added a lot of stress to our much anticipated Idaho vacation. Plus Gracie and me both got a stomach bug while we were there.

Despite all of that stress, we still made lots of great memories, and had a lot of fun while we were there! We miss our family so much!

It was so nice to be outside barefoot in the grass - something we aren't able to do here in Alabama because of bugs, really sharp pine cones, and honestly, I'm not sure what kind of grass they use here, but it just isn't the same. Cooper went running out in the yard barefoot and said, "There's no pine cones!!!" He was in heaven!

It was great seeing my Grandma Cosgray while we were there too, and getting some four generation photos.

Fun at the zoo with cousins! Our Birmingham Zoo membership got us in for free!

Ice cream cones after the zoo and park.

The kids enjoyed lots of sprinkler and slip n slide fun! Grandpa's swings were a big hit too!

We're always up for a trip to the movie theatre!

Old Faithful at Yellowstone Park.

We got to see the play Mary Poppins!

We visited Nevada City and Virginia City. Unfortunately the trains weren't in operation, but we still had an enjoyable time, especially in the music museum!

We rented a cabin in Jackson Hole and the kids loved the fuseball table and roasting marshmallows!

Badminton was a favorite at Grandma and Granddad's house.

Uncle Matt was a good sport playing the human piƱata for his nieces and nephew!

Lots of memories to always look back on! We wish Idaho wasn't so far away!!!
