Toothless!

The stages of losing your two front teeth . . .

Last night . . .

Tonight . . .

I tried to just flick her teeth out for her this time, like we'd done in the past, but when that failed, we resorted to the good old floss and door slam. Last night it worked the first time and out came her tooth. Tonight it took three times to get the other one out, but the failed video attempts are hilarious! She was bound and determined to get that thing out!

She is growing up so fast!

FaMiLy!!!

My Mom, Grandma Cosgray, and Aunt Cheryl were able to drive down for a visit and we loved every minute of it! I always look forward to family coming!

We went to the Botanical Gardens one day to check out the lego statues and cool off in the pond. The butterfly house is always so pretty too. I wish it wasn't so miserably hot for everyone, but I'm so glad we got our AC fixed at least!

Four generations . . .

Livi must have been trying to get a drink from the mist. Ha!

I can't believe all of these were made out of legos!

We always enjoy eating out! This was at Red Robin after watching the new Pixar movie, Inside Out. It was so good and made us all cry.

Cooper snuggled right up to Grandma Cosgray . . .

Olivia was a little stand-off-ish with Grandma Cosgray at first, but she warmed up by the end and was her little shadow the last day they were here.

Thank you so much for coming to visit, and thanks for spoiling us with food and fun entertainment! I was so depressed all day after you left, and Cooper said he wished you could stay forever, and Grace said she wished we could move to Idaho.

Love you all!

Trials

I came home from mutual the other night to AC leaking through our kitchen ceiling. This happened last year too and was supposedly fixed. Anyway, we turned the AC off and ran all our ceiling fans, which we never do. Gracie's top bunk is just out of reach from the fan, so we thought she'd be fine. However, when I went in the bedroom to say goodnight, she wanted me to fix her sheets. I started fixing them in the dark, and poor little Gracie must have been trying to help by getting out of the way. She backed clear to the end of her bed and just happened to nail the fan. I ran her into the bathroom and was so scared because she had her hand over her eye and there was blood dripping down her hand and cheek. After cleaning it all up, it didn't look too bad, but since it was her eye I took her into the ER to make sure she didn't need stitches or anything. Luckily she didn't, and the cream the doctor prescribed healed her right up. We didn't get home until midnight after waiting at Walgreens after the ER visit. We immediately said prayers of gratitude that the fan didn't get her actual eye and all was well.

The next day Tim started mowing the lawn and our riding lawnmower stopped working too. And that afternoon, both Gracie and Lindsey had two cavities filled at the dentist. I'm pretty sure we'll never get out of debt. On the bright side, Tim and the AC man were able to rig a temporary fix on the AC so we were able to run the AC again in the house.

Gracie's front tooth is loose, so I teased her about having a black eye and no tooth. She just smiled.

We've since undone the bunkbed. We thought it would be nice if my Grandma, Mom, and Aunt, could each have their own bed to sleep in when they visited, but it is also safer for the girls and easier for Gracie to make her bed without it being a bunk, so we're just going to leave it like this for awhile. The closet door opens out, so that posed a problem, until I realized we could just take it completely off and it would be fine. I tried so many different configurations, but this was the best.

We're definitely starting to outgrow our little three bedroom house! We could have split it more evenly by keeping Olivia and Cooper in a room together, but we wanted to have a queen bed in Cooper's room so that it could double as a guest room.

It looks like the bed is right up against the closet in this picture, but there is a little walking space between the two.
