Photo Booth Fun!

We went to the movies together and they had a photo booth in the lobby. All six of us squished in together! It was very uncomfortable, but it was sooo much fun and we were so glad we did it! I love my family so much!

Sunday Best

I found Cooper a nice Sunday suit for only $10 at Kids Market. That's a community garage sale thing they do here. We've been able to sell a bunch of our things through the program too. It's great! Anyway, the original tag was still on the suit and it said $50! Crazy! I'd say we got a good deal and he looks soooo handsome!

School Dress Up Days

The girls had a favorite story book character dress up day. Gracie decided to be Laura Ingalls and Lindsey chose to be Ramona Quimby. They had to read 6 hours to get free Six Flags tickets and they both read their very first chapter books! I'm so proud of them for doing this and only being in First Grade and Kindergarten!

Gracie is wearing a pioneer bonnet that we inherited from Grandma Christensen. Does anyone know if there is a story behind the bonnet, or was it just something she picked up through the years?

In Ramona Quimby Age 8, she cracks a raw egg on her head, thinking that it was hard boiled, so I tried to make a cracked egg for Lindsey's head.

Then they had future career dress up day. Gracie wanted to be a ballet teacher and Lindsey used Gracie's artist costume from last year.

At the end of this Career Day, I got a phone call from the school that Lindsey had thrown up. I told them I'd come get her, but after hanging up I realized I'd be crossing paths with the bus, so I called them back and asked them to grab Gracie for me too. Gracie kept saying her shoes were wet when I got there. I asked if there were puddles outside at recess, but when we got home, I realized she had peed her pants at some point during the day. I asked her when, and she said, "I don't know, maybe during computers?" AAaaahhh! So I had a puked on kid and a peed on kid to clean up. I'm so tired of my life being filled with cleaning up bodily fluids and waste!!!! There's a reason I didn't go into nursing, but I guess Mom's get it all anyway. Lindsey had a stomach bug about a month ago and she had a big diarrhea accident all down the hallway. It smelled so awful and she was covered and the carpet was covered. It was the worst clean up we've ever had and that's saying something for us!!! Poor sick kids!

Puppy Love

I'm so glad the kids are moving past their fear of Cole and bonding with him! Lindsey is still timid around him and only stayed by him long enough to get a picture with him, but we're making progress! Obviously Livi has no fear!

One day Cooper was laying on Cole and said, "I always wanted you to be a pillow!"

We've had some nasty cold and wet days. Our entire back yard was ice after a bad ice storm. It was so weird! The ice was so thick on the van and the front porch looked like it was covered in snow or hail, but when we touched it, it was frozen ice balls all stuck together.

Cooper sporting a milk mustache and ranch goatee . . .

When it rains here, it pours, and the ground is wet for days after. We were sick of the kids always wanting to play outside, but ruining their shoes in the wet mud, so we finally got them some rain boots. They had a blast splashing the puddles!
