Bumbo and Copy Cats

Cooper did good when we first sat him in the bumbo seat, but it didn't last long. His head started bobbing back and forth and he started screaming. When I got him out of the seat his legs were a bit stuck, so he's probably not going to get much use out of it. He's too big and wobbly!

It's hard to tell on the blog, but Lindsey is intently watching Gracie in this picture. We've been amazed at how much she already copies Gracie. It really is a lot of pressure on older siblings because the younger ones mimmick everything they do!!! Good luck with that Gracie!!!

For awhile Gracie's favorite phrase was "but why?" and Lindsey started saying, "why?" trying to copy her. Also, Gracie always pulls on her hair when she drinks from a sippy cup (we haven't been giving it to her anymore) and a few times I've caught Lindsey concentrating really hard trying to pull on her bangs and drink from her sippy cup at the same time. It cracks me up!

Baby Love!

I posted a bunch of pictures of Gracie and Cooper, so I had to put some in of Lindsey and Cooper! She always gives him kisses! This little man is sure loved by his big sisters!!! It's only been a couple months since I took these pictures and already Lindsey and Cooper look so much older to me! Stop growing up babies!

It's become a tradition to take a picture of the kids in their baby bath towels. They change so much and look so different as they grow! I love my chubby babies with all their rolls!

Vikings!!!

Gracie has such a great imagination! When she broke her leg and Cooper was born, she watched the movie How to Train Your Dragon, over and over again. We had it through Netflix so Granddad bought it for her. Thanks Granddad! It's about vikings and dragons so the other day Gracie came out of her room looking like this. . . . . .

She said, "I'm a viking fighting the dragons!" The green thing is a plastic bucket that holds safari animals. The girls have put it on their heads before, but not with the shield and sword!

Gracie was so sweet to let Lindsey have a turn too!

Gracie is always using her imagination! Yesterday she was dressed up in her Snow White costume and shoes and I was pretending to be the "witch" offering her the apple. She would say "No, I don't want the apple!" and run and hide, smiling. Then I went to the fridge and got out an actual apple and played the witch again. This time she ripped off the Snow White outfit and said, "I not Snow White! I want the apple!" It was so funny and cute! She sure does love apples!

Easter

Cooper was smiling and talking like crazy so I grabbed the camera and tried to capture it. I got one good picture of his smile and the video below is what I got. Typical that when you pull out the camera they stop doing whatever it was they were doing, but he's still a cutie!

Our ward Easter Egg Hunt and Barbecue was so much fun! The kids had a blast looking for candy and running around together and the food was so good! Gracie and Lindsey were in different age groups so Tim took the video camera and Gracie, and I took Lindsey and the camera. I only know how to download video from my camera, not my video camera, so that's why there's only video of Lindsey egg hunting below.

Gracie's watching a couple from our ward reading an Easter story with puppets. We've really loved our ward out here and have met some amazing people with such strong testimonies of the gospel.

Cooper leaned his little head on Lindsey's shoulder and fell asleep. It was so precious!!!

After lunch all the kids enjoyed chasing around the church yard. I guess ticks are pretty common around here so when we got home we looked the girls over and thankfully didn't find any.

The picture below reminds me of my brothers because of their hair color and age difference. Of course, the redheaded boy caught a frog, and all the girls were screaming and everyone wanted to see it.

The little redheaded girl in the next couple pictures isn't Lindsey but she is a cutie too!

The older kids were playing boys against girls and I spotted Lindsey on the "boys" side. She was surrounded by about a dozen boys but they all scattered by the time I got my camera ready for a picture and she was left on the hill with just a few. You can't really see but she has a stick in her hand and another boy tried to sword fight her with his. She didn't understand what was going on and said, "Nice" to the boy, so I quickly came to her rescue and carried her away from the "boys" hill.

Gracie and these girls said they were making a bed for the frog. So sweet!

I waited until the last minute to get Easter stuff so they only had dinosaur or sports egg dyeing kits. I went with the dinosaur kit and they actually turned out really cute! I'm glad we got them. The girls had a blast putting the stickers on them!

Poor little Lindsey was burning up when we got back from the Easter egg hunt. She'd been acting fine so I didn't notice until I put her down for her nap and she was on fire. When I took her temperature it was 103! I was so scared! It's been so hard to find a clinic around here that will take walk-ins and when I took her to one she'd been to before they said they had made a mistake and they weren't allowed to see children under 2. It was so frustrating so I took her back home and alternated tylenol and motrin. She got down to 100 but then spiked again the next night so I took her to the emergency room.

We figured she had an ear infection but they said she had too much wax buildup so they irrigated her ear and she was screaming and screaming and I cried myself because they kept on doing it and no wax was coming out. Finally one little tiny piece came out and they left her alone. There's no way that little piece was all that was blocking her ear but when the doctor checked her ear after that she said that she did have an ear infection. No wonder she was screaming when they were irrigating it! Poor thing! Luckily she seems to be doing better now.
