Father's Day

A sweet lady in our ward made these dresses and matching purses for the girls.  So sweet!  Everyone has been too kind to us here.  The girls love them.  Gracie wanted to bring scriptures to church because she said the boys in her class did and luckily we had two missionary Book of Mormons on hand.  Now every Sunday the girls put their scriptures in their little purses to take to church.

I've been a bit depressed lately with the Mother routine 24/7, especially with trying to potty train Lindsey, but I really do love my kids and think they are absolutely adorable!

It has been so hot lately that whenever we're outside we run the sprinkler or swimming pool for the kids to play in.  We also always have popsicles or drinks on hand.  I'm so glad the kids have all been drinking water!  It took a couple weeks of refusing juice in the sippy cups but now they are completely converted and only get juice at meal times.

Tim was gone last year for Father's Day for two weeks of training and that's exactly what happened again this year.  I'm so sick of training!!!  He has another two week training before the end of the year too and I'm not very happy because I thought he was done training.  At least its not three months like some trainings have been, but I still don't like it.  Last year Sarah flew out to help while he was gone and this time my Mom is flying out on Friday to help!  Then my Grandma Cosgray, Aunt Cheryl, and Great-Aunt Mary are driving down to visit too!  We are so excited!!!

We celebrated Father's Day early and we got Tim a grill!  We had a feast of a barbecue and played in the pool and jumped on the trampoline with the sprinkler underneath.  It was a lot of fun!

The Schwan truck has been driving down our subdivision and when I saw it the other day I couldn't resist.  I flagged the driver down and bought a box of Fudge Sticks.  Schwan's icecream is the best. . . probably why it is so expensive!!!  Cooper kept looking at me saying, "Mmmmmm" and check out the drippings on Tim's arm.  Haha!!!

Such a look of admiration on Lindsey's face!!!  She loves food just like her Momma!

Gracie's got the arm drippings too!  It was an easy clean up in the pool though!  HA!

Tim's new grill.  I got him this one because you can fold it down and take it camping or to parks, etc.

Random picture of the crane/heron that is always on the water behind our house.  Such an odd looking thing!

  2. I love the crane, that's awesome!
And the tick is giving me the willies.

Sorry you're having down days. I'm sure we all do. Being a mom is hard, and having a hubby gone is harder. I don't know how you do it, and being pregnant. Kudos to you! Your kiddos are darling and very happy.
I was feeling like a failure of a mother a few weeks ago, and Ben told me something: the most important thing you can do is teach them the gospel. All the little Pinterest things and such don't matter.
So, I would say you are a pretty great mother! :)
