Gracie's school had a "dress up as your future career" day. Gracie was so sweet because she said, "I want to be like you Mom!" So I asked, "A mom, teacher, Hallmark, piano teacher?" She said, "Hallmark!" I've been working for Hallmark at a Walmart store, so at first she would tell people that I worked at Walmart. That made me a bit embarrassed for some reason, so I really worked with her on telling people that I worked for Hallmark. I couldn't really think of an easy way for her to dress up like that, and she is such a great little artist, so I showed her some kids dressed up as artists on the computer, and she immediately got really excited and said she wanted to do that. She looked so cute!!! She had a lot of fun streaking paint all over her shirt too!
Gracie during her Kindergarten program . . .
Olivia was throwing a fit in my lap at the beginning of this video so it's all over the place, but I love how shy Gracie is at the end of it!
Mrs. Wilfong made each student an adorable poster with pictures of them throughout the year. We loved Gracie's teacher so much and are hoping that Lindsey gets her next year!
On field day Gracie's class had a picnic in their classroom and we were able to join them. Gracie was so cute and excited! She was in her spare outfit when we got there because she got all wet from the fireman's water hose during field day. I kept the same spare outfit in her backpack all year and I realized that it was too little for her now! I guess I should have been checking it! I can't believe how much she has grown this year! I'm so proud of her, and her reading and writing skills are amazing! I love my smart, beautiful, sweet little Grace! I can't believe she is all done with Kindergarten.
Waiting for her turn at tug-of-war . . . it was so loud in that gym with all the cheering! Cooper and Lindsey loved it!!!
Lindsey was just soaking in everything at Gracie's school! When we got home she asked for this marker kit and she practiced writing all her letters. Then she came in to show me her numbers. She said, "Look Mom! One 1, two 2's, 3 threes, 4 fours, . . ." She had done this all on her own! I was so proud of her! Can't believe she'll be in Kindergarten next year! My babies are growing up! Next year I'll have two at school and two at home! Crazy!
Congratulations, Gracie! Granny and Grandpa are so proud of your achievements! It looks like your program was a huge success and I loved the pictures of your tug-o-war!!!!!! Way to pull! Always remember you can do hard things!!!
