More Fun Things!

Whenever I download photos on my blog I seem to put them from last to first rather than first to last so these pictures of the girls sleeping were taken after the last activity we did this week on the drive home. They were so exhausted! We all are, so these next couple weeks we won't be going and doing as much. We need to rest and settle into a normal routine!

Tim's cousin Jenny and her family took us to Maymont Park in Richmond. It has gardens, horse and buggies, bears, a petting zoo, and a James River fish museum. Gracie loves spending time with Michael and Joseph! Michael is 5 and he is the sweetest thing to both girls! Joseph is a little cutie too and he and Gracie are only a few days apart. We look forward to doing even more things with them or swapping turns babysitting :)
Notice the girl on the opposite side of Gracie and the boys? They are wearing the same shirt!

Looking down at some fish.

There is a snake in that log and they were so cute looking down at it together! By the time I took the photo though they were moving on.

Tim watched the girls while Kirsten and I went to Mt. Vernon, home of George Washington. It was so nice! His gardens were huge and his views were beautiful!

The Richmond Zoo safari train ride. My favorite part was feeding and petting the giraffes! I never thought I would do that! They felt just like a cow or horse. I guess they do a Nativity show with some of the zoo animals at Christmas time so we'll have to go to that as well.

  1. I can't believe that you are so close and I still haven't seen you! Mt. Vernon is literally 20 minutes from my house!!!! My mom is coming into town Saturday, maybe we could all get together while she's here? Let me know. I am so glad you are having fun and seeing the sights.

  2. It looks like you guys are having all kinds of fun out there! But I'm sure moving across the country also involves a lot of work. I'm glad we were able to see you up in Idaho before you left.
