She's complained more about the short cast than she did with the full-leg one. I think it's because her knee was bent for so long and now she can straighten it. Plus she scratched all around her knee pretty bad. It must have been itching so much and she was finally able to scratch it. Today was the first time she's complained about itching and she was trying to get under the short cast. Poor thing! The doctor said she can put weight on it so I was hoping she could go to the bathroom on her own once they shortened it but she won't put weight on it. She cries when we tell her she can stand on it and walk and she says, "No, it's still hurt."
I think Gracie likes her new brother, don't you? Every time she hears him cry she says, "It's alright Coop!" or "He's awake! Can I hold him?" I've also discovered that you can get the older kids to help. When Cooper is crying and I'm in the middle of something, Gracie loves to help hold his binkie in his mouth for me. It really is a big help! He had been screaming right before I took these pictures and Gracie climbed up on the couch and put his binkie back in his mouth and he fell asleep. Thanks Grace!
These are the sweetest pictures ever! I love Gracie with Cooper. I love the ponytails. I love sitting on daddy's lap.
ReplyDeleteSorry about Cooper's tongue. That's good he's getting enough to eat.
I love her curls too!!! It sounds like she is mommy's little helper!! I feel bad for her being scared when they cut off her cast. Not too much longer and she will have it off for good!! Love you Gracie Jo!!!
