Braves Game

For Tim's birthday I got him tickets to a Braves game. It's something he's said he always wanted to do and when I looked up their schedule it worked out perfectly that there was a game in DC when Grandma and Elizabeth would be out visiting. I thought we could all go to DC and they could take the girls to the National Zoo while we took Cooper with us to the game.

It was really exciting even for me and I don't even follow baseball. We got a hotdog, drink, and chip combo too and it was really good! The downside is the weather was horribly cold. Thank goodness Grandma sent us with one of the girls big blankets because we wrapped Cooper up like a little burrito so at least he was warm and cozy.

It warmed up for a little while but soon showed signs of more rain so we headed back to the Metro. While we were walking out it started to hail and blow - it was freezing! Luckily we saw an open door to some sort of elevator station in a building and waited in there until the hail stopped. The girls were cold at the zoo too and we all returned to the hotel chilled, but we had a good time and no one got sick.

You could see the Washington Monument from the stadium. It was really neat but I couldn't get a good picture. At least you can see it though!

We had Cooper's head covered with the blanket too to keep him warm. We only uncovered it for pictures so he has proof that he once went to a Braves game.
