Gracie is spending today and tomorrow with Aunt Kirsten at a nice resort/hotel in the Smokies. Uncle Roger and Aunt Bethany invited all, but with our recent HOME purchase and moving, the rest of us stayed. Lindsey would have gone with Kirsten too but we thought it would mess up her potty training and she is a stuffed up mess ... poor thing. She keeps telling me, "Mommy, I can't breathe." Breaks my heart. She does NOT understand how to blow her nose. She always just sucks it in. Any ideas on how to teach her?
I carried little Grace out to Kirsten's car and told her that I would miss her so much. She said, "Mommy, I'll be back soon." I said, "Yep, and Kirsten will be with you." Then she said, "Yep, but I will go to Kindergarten by myself." She is so ready to grow up, but I am not ready for it.
Cooper has been sleeping in the toddler bed and he has been doing great! The first morning he came walking out of his room looking confused, but since then, he just stays on the bed until I come and get him. I don't know if he thinks he's not allowed to get out of it or what, but it gives me a little bit more sleep so I think it's great! He always wakes up around 6:30 am so it's nice that he'll just sit/lay on the bed, talking to himself sweetly for a bit. He's also been trying to sing primary songs with us and it is adorable! One day when Tim knelt down for family prayer, Cooper knelt down beside him (trying to be just like Daddy) and folded his little hands. It was so adorable!
I love my cute babies!!!
The first photo below is of the kids singing. They kept pretending the book was a songbook and they would make up songs.
The kids are excited for their new baby sister to come! Cooper doesn't really understand yet. We told the kids to put their hand on my belly and after we took a few photos, Cooper started lifting his shirt up to show off HIS belly!
Little Grace is all legs and Lindsey is such a character!
Me at 27 weeks!
I mentioned above that we bought a house!!! We are so excited and just wish the cleaning and packing/unpacking part was done. The previous owner took such great care of the place and he left tons of shelving in the garage, a table and chairs, entertainment center, etc. There's a shed in the back yard, shade (YAY!), a covered back patio with fan, a little garden area, and a kids playset that the owner built himself! It's only 3 bedrooms, but both bathrooms have double vanities which is great because I've been feeling so cramped doing the girls' hair in the smaller bathrooms here, and the living room is carpeted!!! Hopefully we'll have a lot less slips and bruises from the kids now!!!
I'm frustrated because we haven't seen any brown recluse spiders around our house until we got our boxes back from a friend. We've kept them in the garage thankfully, but the very first one I pulled out to start packing had a brown recluse on it. I was so mad!!! We've inspected every box thoroughly before bringing it in to pack but I will be so angry if we bring them to our new house. A lady in our ward got bitten by one and it rotted away a huge chunk of her leg and she was hospitalized for awhile. So scary! Plus we already had black widows in the garage.
Running spider total: 4 black widows and 4 brown recluses. I am so grateful that we've spotted them before they spotted us and were able to kill them quickly. Hopefully we haven't missed any of them. Every time I feel anything on me I freak out and quickly check for spiders. Between that and tornadoes, Alabama is not winning any points as my favorite state!

Everyone looks so great! Gracie looks so TALL in the one picture of the kids against the wall. Kristi, you are looking so cute! It's so adorable that little Choopie tries to be like his Daddy. Every time I watch Oakley and she sees my phone she says "Cooper? Gracie? Lindsey?" because she wants to see the pictures of everyone that have been texted to me. You all look so good, and I am hoping the move goes smoothly for you all! Love you!!!
ReplyDeleteWell...I know Alabama is one of my favorite states because some of my most precious family members live there! Yes, I am talking about all of you. You do look great as Sarah said and everyone is growing up too fast. I am excited for your new home and all the adventures that will take place there...especially the arrival of my new granddaughter. I love you all so much...enjoy every moment!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I always look like a swollen ball when I'm pregnant. I forgot to mention in my comment on the last post that it was great to see Tim last month, even if it was for a funeral. I'm glad he was able to make it out. It would've been fun to see all of you, but I understand how far away you are. Congratulations on the house purchase! Make sure to post photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping your blog updated so I can see me Alabama Family!! Gracie does look so tall! All legs like her mommy! And Copper looks big in his toddler bed! Oakley keeps getting my phone and pretending to talk to you all! Silly girl! Hopefully we can come out soon so she can play with her cousins! Love you all! Good luck with moving!
