The Circus!

We ate at Steak and Shake one night and they had free kids tickets to the circus, with each paying adult.  The kids really liked the circus, but before it started and during the long intermission they did face painting, elephant and pony rides, etc. and you had to pay cash to do those things.  We didn't have any cash and the kids need to learn that they can't have everything they want anyway, but they were so sad and didn't seem to understand why they couldn't do it when the other kids were.  We'll be better prepared next time.

The first few acts were not very good and Tim and I kept glancing at each other thinking we would probably leave early if it didn't get better since it was already past the kids bedtime, but thankfully it did get better.  The kids were exhausted when we left but we all had fun.  The circus was held at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville and I guess they do Disney on Ice and a whole lot of other fun things throughout the year so we'll have to keep checking their calendar and prices.
