Why does my baby have 4 or 5 blowouts EVERY . . . SINGLE . . . DAY!?!?!?!?!?!? I am completely worn out of this! I am ready to just quit nursing because it's probably something I am eating, and it is impossible to figure out what. I just don't understand! Has anyone else's baby had constant blowouts? And it hasn't just been Olivia, I think all of my babies have struggled with this.
We've tried formula a few times and Olivia just throws up and formula is SO expensive. Plus, Gracie peed the bed the other day and that has not happened since she was being potty trained. Then she peed on the bathroom floor twice. So I basically have 4 kids/babies poo and pee to clean up all day, every day, and I feel like I am running a daycare. We almost ran out of wipes today too waiting on a diapers.com order to get here. Thank goodness the order just got here, with probably 5 wipes total left in the house, and we have 3 or 4 wipe boxes spread throughout the house, and they were ALL empty!
Plus, I am so tired of snarfing down every meal as fast as I can before someone needs something, or having to wait until after I've nursed to eat. And I am so tired of trying to figure out what to make for meals. I just feel like I am in constant chaos!!! No wonder I've been having breakouts on my face (went to see a doctor about a sinus infection and he asked if I wanted acne medication) and I'm having headaches every day and I got dehydrated and had to have IV fluids last month. I just can't do everything that needs to be done over and over and over . . .
And why won't Olivia take naps? She sleeps great at night, but no naps is really draining me!!!
Love my kids, but had to whine somewhere and the blog is just where I tend to let it all out when I'm overwhelmed! Tim is such a great help, but what do I do for the 10 1/2 hours he is gone every day? I hate to admit it, but I am looking forward to the furlough just so he can be home more. The furlough was going to be 22 days, then it was shortened to 14, and now it is only going to be 11, so that is a blessing financially for us!
I guess I'm done complaining for now!

They say writing your frustrations down is healthy...keep writing Kristi Lee. As for the blowouts they must get that from their Aunt Sarah...at least 5 or 7 up the back and always on Sunday during sacrament meeting. LOL Of course we didn't have wipes and the branch was too poor to run the hot water heater. Cold water just doesn't cut it when trying to wipe up baby poo! Not to mention I had to use cloth diapers. And now I wonder where the time went. You are all grown up! What wonderful adults you have all become and what a great mom you are. Don't be so hard on yourself. I love you all to the moon and back!
ReplyDeleteAmen to what Granny says! I'm glad you can vent on paper. Wish we were closer so I could help out. I laugh now about some of the frustrations I had and thankfully have forgotten the rest. Kristi, you are such a good mother!!! Your children and Tim are so blessed to have you in their lives. We love you and pray for you every day.
ReplyDeleteIs it bad this made me laugh?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry it's so rough sometimes. I only have half the kids you do and it's still hard sometimes. And I hear you on the no napping! Grrrr!
As already stated, you're a great mom. Not every day is perfect. Or even good haha.
And your kids are adorable
Hang in there, Kristi. And for goodness sake, enjoy eating your meals. Your kids can wait a few minutes for seconds or refills. I wish I lived closer to help you out. You are a great mom, but you also need to take time for yourself. You will feel better and have more energy to deal with life's messes (blowouts, haha). Love you.
ReplyDeleteYes, venting, in moderation, does do some good. I've turned to my blog to vent on several occasions. The rule at our house is that once everyone is served their food, they don't get seconds or refills until mom and dad are done eating. If they can do it themselves, great, do it, and if not, they can wait. It can get so frustrating and tiring eating meals getting up and down every 2 seconds. As for meals, I have been horrible about dinner lately. I probably only "make dinner" once a week and other than that I throw whatever I can find or quickly make on the table. And that includes cereal! I'm just too tired lately. At the end of the day, I know my family isn't going to bed hungry, and that's all that matters at this point. I'm sure you'll get a rhythm down soon. When you do, let me know how you did it because I could use some help too!
