Botanical Gardens

One of the nice things about having a membership to the gardens and rocket center is that they are constantly changing things up so that the members don't get bored.

This was the first time that we've ever been there to do a butterfly release. They give each of the kids a box with a butterfly in it that they can let go. It was fun!

You can see Gracie's orange butterfly on the lady's white capri's between her and Lindsey.

Cooper is watching his to make sure it's okay. His wouldn't fly away at first, so we dumped it on the ground, but it eventually came out of it, and flew away. A couple butterflies landed on his hat too.

Birmingham Zoo

The girls got out of school at 11 on a Friday that Tim had off, so we decided to go to the zoo! It was so fun to go on a little adventure with the kiddos!

My favorite part of the zoo trip was when we got to hear the lion roar. It was amazing!!! We were on the opposite side of the lion den, but we heard it and kids went running from all around to get a look across the giraffe area. We could see him right across the way with his mouth open wide roaring and it was so neat!

Cooper and Olivia weren't too thrilled with the dinosaur expo . . .
