We survived Tim's first week away, but only because we knew my Mom was coming for the second week! It was so cute at the airport when the girls yelled, "Granny! Granny!" and ran to hug her! She helped us with so much and made sure the kids went and did fun things each day! We had a blast and the kids all got nice tans! Thanks so much Mom! We miss you already!
We took them to a park in Ardmore where they've recently added a splash pad and sandpit. The best thing about this park is that it is shaded!!! The kids were wimps on the splash pad and didn't linger there long because they said it was too cold.
I love Gracie's expression in this picture as Granny read her a story.
There is an outdoor mall in Huntsville called Bridge Street Town Center. They have paddleboats and a gondola but those are only open on the weekends so we didn't get to try them, but we did get to feed some giant fish! There is a movie theatre there and they are doing free summer kids movies. We made it to Rio and it was a lot of fun! My Mom bought us popcorn and the kids were good through the whole show!
We were so excited when Grandma Cosgray, Aunt Cheryl, and Gary arrived and we got to spend time with them! I'm so glad they made it down to visit us in Alabama!!!
Cooper screamed when we tried to take him on the carousel last time so this time he just sat with Aunt Cheryl while the girls rode. He squealed when he spotted them coming back to him though!
Aunt Cheryl and Gary took the kids swimming! I was grateful that I didn't have to get my suit on and swim too. The kids loved it! Thanks Aunt Cheryl and Gary! Lindsey got out of the pool at one point and started walking all squatted over shouting, "I peed! I peed!" It was so funny that she got out of the water to pee. We were all laughing so hard. She can't stand being in wet pants for more than a second so we've really got to kick it into gear with the potty training because she is ready...and so am I...not for the process, but for the outcome! Haha!
Four Generations!
Huntsville Botanical Gardens
Nashville Zoo. They have a really neat dinosaur section right now and the kids were so excited for it until we were actually going through it. They were timid and scared and Gracie kept saying, "Let's get out of here." Haha! We told her again and again that they weren't real.
Gracie crossing the bridge, ears covered, as the T-Rex let out a roar.
This picture is too small for you to tell but Cooper is grinning at my Mom screaming.
I've been checking every day because I knew there would be great new pics. I especially love the one with Carla and the kids in the big chair. Everything looks so wonderful and we can't wait for our turn in a couple of weeks. Love ya'll. Grandma
