Growing Up!

Gracie can write the numbers 1 to 20 and the alphabet!  What a smartie!  When she showed me her numbers she said, "Granny taught me!"  She learned the alphabet from tv shows and movies and the Dora alphabet book we bought her for her birthday.  I really didn't work with her much and she just picked it up on her own!  I was quite impressed!

Little Lindsey got stung/bit by a bunch of ants.  Poor thing!  It was awful.  They look really good in this picture.  They were all swollen and blistered.  I'm so glad she didn't have a reaction to them.  We've sprayed pile after pile of them and some die and the rest just migrate and build another mound.  Nasty things!

Lindsey is getting really good at coloring in the lines!  She is also recognizing letters and learning the alphabet.  She doesn't write them yet of course but she always just observes Gracie and she'll surprise me when I ask Gracie questions and Lindsey will pop out the answer.  My girls are so stinkin cute and smart!!!

And Cooper is really good at eating the crayons!  Haha!  He's starting to say a bunch of words and whenever I tell him to do something he knows exactly what I'm talking about.  He shocked me the other day when I told him to go get his shoes.  He trotted into his room, opened the closet door (this was news to me!) and even though his shoes were just thrown in at random, he picked out a matching pair!  It was so cute!  He loves going outside!  What a handsome, smart boy!!!

  1. Gracie Jo, you are so smart! I love your letters and numbers! I'm sorry poor Lindsey had to go through that! Stupid bugs and creepy crawly things! And Cooper seems so grown up! Love them all to pieces!

  2. Poor little Lindsey! I hate ants! They are impossible to get rid of:(

Loved all the stories--"antisocial" sounds like us! Really wish we lived nearer each other. I bet we have a lot in common.
I, too, need to work on the "helping" of little kids. Cooking, laundry etc takes 4x as long and much more mess. Definitely a patience builder:)

Love the letter writing. Reminds me of my 4 year old as well. Such fun
