The tail on Gracie's big stuffed dog was falling off and she had been asking me to fix it. I told her I would do it while she was at school and I forgot a couple days in a row, leading to her asking again if I could fix it. Well, I finally remembered yesterday and fixed it. I had forgotten all about it until later on in the evening when Gracie came running out into the living room, sat down beside me and wrapped her little arms around me and said, "Thank you for fixing my dog's tail Mom!" It melted my heart! I love you Gracie Jo!
This morning while doing Gracie's hair for school, Lindsey was in the background singing her heart out, "Clap along if you feel . . . cuz I'm happy . . . cuz I'm happy!" (Pharrell Wiliams - Happy song) I chuckled and asked how she knew that song. Gracie said they hear it every morning at school during morning news. So cute! I'm so glad they both LOVE school!
This was a post their babysitter, Aryn, put on Facebook: "Okay, Lindsey is singing random lyrics as she goes, and she sang "I love my mama's spirit" is that not the most adorable thing ever?!" This melted my heart! Love you little Lindsey Lee!
I was doing the dishes when I heard two sweet little voices singing, "Roll along, roll along, covered wagon . . ." I peeked out in the living room to see Gracie and Lindsey with their pioneer dolls, pretending Cooper's dump truck was a wagon. What was really neat was that it was Pioneer Day, but I hadn't even told them that it was. Sweet moment after non-stop fighting the last several days.
We had been trying to read a page of the Book of Mormon every night to the kids. That's a lot for kids to listen to and understand, so I always try to translate it into kids' understanding afterwards. I must always start out by saying, "So . . . (that means this, etc.)" One night after we read a page, Cooper chimed in, "So . . . Alma was a prophet!" The page we read was about Alma and Amulek so he was right on! It was so adorable and helped us to know that they really are listening and paying attention, even when it doesn't seem like they are. Love you so much Buddy! Also, we went to the temple the other night and Cooper kept asking us if we were getting married. Cute!
I love my kids so much! I need to start recording more of these cute little moments because I always forget them afterwards.
