I'm sad that if we carve pumpkins in Alabama they rot and mold overnight. Maybe we'll try it again one day and rub it all over with vaseline, like Southerners have suggested, but for now we'll just be decorating the outside of our pumpkins on Halloween. They did turn out cute and the kids enjoyed working on their very own pumpkins!
Gracie wanted to be a pretty butterfly this year! She looks so grown up in some of these photos.
Lindsey wanted so bad to be a grandma, but when I put wrinkles on her, she was not a happy camper when she looked in the mirror. LOL! Gracie informed me that she didn't like the wrinkles when she wore the Granny outfit either. As a compliment to her young Granny and Grandma, Gracie said that her Granny and Grandma don't have wrinkles, so why did they need wrinkles for that costume.
The stores only have ninjas/superheroes etc. for boys, and I do not sew, so it was hard finding a costume for Cooper. Why don't they have different costumes for boys? I guess I could have come up with something if I wasn't so lazy.
I tried to have Olivia wear our cute monkey outfit, but she screamed her guts out when I forced it on her, so to save our sanity, we decided on Minnie Mouse. She still wasn't thrilled, but after she got used to it, she was happy about it and grinned big for the camera.
At trunk or treat we discovered that sweet little Peyton was Michelangelo too, so we had to get a picture of her and Cooper together! She's in Gracie's church class, but goes to a different school.
Trunk or Treat was on a Wednesday this year and it was nice and warm out. By Friday, Halloween, it was windy and so cold outside. The kids have had bad coughs, so we were going to skip trick-or-treating, but as soon as we had kids come to our door, the kids all begged to go. We loaded up in the van and just drove around our neighborhood, stopping at houses with lights on. Olivia was sooo adorable trotting along to keep up with the others. She was so cute at Trunk or Treat too! This is the first year she's been old enough to understand what's going on and once she realized she was getting candy, she was all grins, and quickly said, "Treat!" at each stop.
Olivia's grin cracks me up! I hope you all had a super Halloween!!! Love you all bunches!
